Neato View of Praha – The Land of 1/4 of My Ancestors

My grandmother‘s parents came to the U.S. from Prague back in the late 1800s (grandma was born in the western U.S. in 1906). This city is calling to me; I hope someday to be able to visit, and maybe find some old, old family (Ibser [but my grandfather was an orphan & this is his adopted name], Masar, and Vitek).

One of the things I imagine I might find, considering the way I feel around printing presses (like I’ve found home, like it’s in my DNA) is that my family (some part of it) was involved in printing and publishing (one of the top industries in Prague at one time).

I found this image on the Global Grasshopper blog, which I just discovered and am looking forward to reading in depth.
